It wasn't too long ago that JC's words left me speechless.
He proceeded to challenge me with a very thought-provoking question: What if all your wrong decisions led you to a right one later? Would you still consider them wrong?
The comment sent me into a big tizzy. I didn't have any way to attack it. There was nothing to attack! What IF? I guess the "bad decisions" wouldn't be "bad" afterall. Genius.
What I begin to see today is that life is an open sketchbook. You keep with you all of the old defining sketches, but what each day holds is a yet to be determined and never routine. And that is why we should approach each new day, each page, with a fresh and optimistic attitude. Where one's sketchbook were to start could never determine where the sketchbook were to end. And each day you have in life would essentially be what you decided to fill each moment of your life with. Every sketch, or event, in your sketchbook of life would feel right for that very moment. You would have an idea of what you wanted your end product to be, but planning for it; restricting yourself; regulating every detail would never cut it. You would simply need to just do it, live it, experiment, make the unexpected choices...and see what it gave back!
I don't know by what rhyme or reason this has crossed my mind today. But I sit here in awe of the beauty of the Divine and what Master plan is out there for each and every one of us. The funny thing is, I used to believe this way of thinking was a sad excuse not to acknowledge the 'bad decisions' made in the past. However, it is not until this moment that I have adopted this new outlook.
Life and everything it holds is what you believe it will hold. Because what you believe, will ultimately be true. Once again, I am reinforcing the idea that Attitude is Everything.
If you've got the right one, you can't lose.
