...SimMiChikO Tags, 10 Random things about ItSaBriiiiiZe

My blogger buddy, ...SimMiChikO, tagged me with the "I think you are an awesome girl" award awhile back...I thought it was about time I share 10 random things about me :)
1. I believe whole-heartedly that people enjoy music they can relate to, either through lyrics or the emotions conveyed through the melodies. Test my theory!!2. Food excites me, beyond what most people could imagine. I recently be-friended a security guard a work that has a culinary background. I took the time to hear him out on a few of his food ramblings. And since that day, he has brought me one food-related piece of advice, edible item, or resource! So far, I've had the pleasure of experiencing: Corn bread chili baked in a ramekin, 2 mexican sweet rolls, 2 fish taco sauce packets, a few recs for scenic restaurants in Laguna Niguel, and a 2 week rental of an 800 page book on cooking!
3. I'm currently obsessed with big bold jewelry! Glass blown pendants are a recent favorite :)
4. I do not have much shame. If there is a question you'd like me to ask in public, however embarassing, I might very well ask it.
5. I am an accountant by day, and artist by night. That is why I surround myself with whimsical things, melodies, and artistic influenes. I am an artist in my own way.
6. I am a huge fan of ambiance: Settings and surroundings that is. Sometimes it can make or break a dining experience for me.
7. 5K runs became a casual hobby of mine this year. I ran one by the SD Embarcadero and walked one at the SD Zoo!
8. I cannot walk out of Sephora without buying at least 1 item. Oh Sephora, how I love your magic :) Last purchase: Bare Escentuals Summer Bisque SPF 20 Loose Powder (for me), Mangosteen Perfume (not for me)
9. I discovered a new love for scented candles! Can't get enough of them.

10. Last month was my first time visiting the other side of the contiguous United States...flew to lovely Chicago with the roomies and had a blast :) I looooved getting to experience SEASONS!

Check Out My Cornucopia

The heavy exposure to artistic talents these past few months have made quite the impression on me. A crafty feeling has crept over me and has gotten me wanting to create EVERYTHING from scratch. From food to floral arangements, to ornaments and candle holders. My most recent creative steak left me with four unique cornucopias. Check out a couple of my Cornucopias!
More craftinESS to come!

Powerful but Useless: Don't get Stuck

I just want to say that Guilt is one of the most powerful but useless feelings ever to exist. It's strength does not carry any weight when it comes to its purpose. Why is it useless? Because it doesn't HELP the situation for you to feel it. It doesn't even begin to present a solution to the problem. It's an overwhelming helplessness that runs itself over and over into a wall. Not to say Guilt is not deserved for the alleged wrong-doer. But, it is useless to dwell in it because it doesn't help the person you wronged feel any better.

However, not feeling Guilt could possibly mean you're heartless. On a different note, feeling Guilt and letting it run you over could also drive you insane. In the end, it's a lose-lose situation. And once it arrives at your front door step, don't let yourself get swept away and blind-sighted by it's pitch. How do you break out of it and make it go away?

First, understand the reasoning behind your feelings. That is step one. If you did something wrong, come up with a plan and make a promise to yourself of how you might approach a similar situation differently. Step two, make sure you know the person you feel guilty for/about knows you are sincerely regretful or sorry, whether the situation was in or out of your hands. Confidence in knowing you are stepping forward, with a positive outlook, is enough to get the ball rolling towards recovery for both individuals.

Remember, you want to avoid beating yourself up over and over again for it. Because, if feeling it doesnt help, getting over it and not feeling it...might.

Regretful situations happen to us all. But stay optimistic. A confident outlook from there on out will serve a positive purpose in the long-run.
