Stop this world, and Love.

I downloaded a bad version of Stop this World by Ne-Yo awhile back before I purchased his CD. Now, what's special about this bad version is that mid-song, some grandeous voice comes out of no where and begins speaking, reverting Ne-Yo to background music. Confused at his voice, I listened closely and focused on his words. Apparently, this song was edited to be used at a wedding! Angela and Jesse had dubbed their Pastor's voice over the tune to announce their marriage and to share to their guests and also whoever heard it, what Love meant to them. I liked its messages. I decided to type them out :)

Love. It is a continium that cannot be broken. Not by time nor distance nor even death.

In life there is a single color, as on an artists palette which provides the meaning of love.

Love is the emblem of eternity, it confounds all notion of time. It faces all memory of beginning and all fear.

Separated lovers find countless mysterious ways of corresponding, by sending eachother the song of birds, the scent of flowers, the laughter of children, the light of the sun, the sighing of the wind, the gleam of th e stars, all the beauties of creation.

In the fight to find eachother, the perfect moment awaits its destiny.

When they meet, they know...that's why love is never ending nor begging, it is always and forever.
...

This brought a smile to my face. I thought it might bring one to yours!

Nike: Just Do It (or Don't!)

I'm not sure if this is for real, but it took me back to my 'SC days. I had so much fun hangin out around Westwood with SF, decked out in our bright cardinal and gold USC hoodies, while getting our weekly fix of Diddy Reese ice cream sandwiches!

Maybe I'm able to see the humor in this because I've never let myself get caught up in the pride most people have from attending a particular school. Frankly, I think this is hilarious and I SO wouldn't mind sporting one of these Nike V-neck shirts!

Don't be surprised to find me in Westwood this year, wearing the wrong colors and getting harassed! What can I say? I love the shock value of this too much...*throws up Victory sign* :)

Be Fearless.

On Colbie Caillat's new album, Breakthrough

I am so glad I went out to buy her CD and support her. I haven't bought a CD in ages. In fact, if you were to visit my room and review the CD rack, you'd know I stopped buying albums after high school. But an early sneak preview of Fallin' For You and a visit to Target's CD section changed all of that :)

I will be continuing to show my support for Colbie on September 15, 2009 when I see her in concert at HOB in San Diego! It will be my first time getting a CD autographed (apparently, I didn't live out my teenie bopper years to the fullest haha)! *Correction: 2nd time getting a CD autographed, but the 1st time bringing in a pre-purchased CD to the artist for signing.

But I could definitely get used this... given I've recently had the pleasure of being showered with masterful pieces of art, autographed by their original artist!

So I am absolutely in love with the song Fearless. Perhaps, because I am able to relate to its lyrics when I recall my past and some of the (sour) relationships they carried.

FEARLESS.
So go on, go on and break my heart
I'll be okay
There's nothing you can do to me
That's ever going to burn me
So go on, go on and leave my love
Out on the street

If this is how it hurts
It couldn't get much worse
If this is how it feels to fall
Then that's the way it is
We live with what we miss
We learn to build another wall
Till it falls

If it's between love and losing
To never have known the feeling
And I'm still sad we've loved
And if I end up lonely
At least I will be there knowing
I believe in love

I'm fearless
Better believe I'm fearless, fearless
